Eight lecturers kidnapped in Osun. Eight staff of Osun College of Technology, Esa-Oke were on Tuesday abducted by unidentified shooters. The Public Relations Officer of the school, Mr Adewale Oyekanmi, made this known in a telephone meet with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo.
As per him, the shooters likewise shot dead another staff who endeavored to escape from the scene of the episode at about 4:30pm. Oyekanmi clarified that the shooters blocked Esa-Oke Road (a street prompting the school grounds), halted a few vehicles including the exploited people’s vehicles and kidnapped them.
“Up until now, the shooters have not reached the groups of the grabbed people or with the school the executives.
“The police, Department of State Security and men of the OPC are brushing the shrubs to check whether they can save the hijacked staff,” he said. Whenever reached, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mrs Folashade Odoro, said the police knew about the issue, including that it would before long issue an official articulation.
